Derby's got talent
Congratulations to Lizzie Fox, our very own stylist from the Irongate salon who just won the coveted title of 'Regional Finalist' at the national regional finals of the 'L'Oréal Colour Trophy' competition. There are three main categories in this coveted competition and Lizzie entered the 'Men's Image Award' with a stunning photo of her male model which won her a place in the regional finals in Manchester on 2nd April. The whole team went along to support Lizzie at the competition where she and her team mate Jen (from the Old Hall Salon) and their model Steve had to do a live hair style in front of an audience of over 200 people and then present the model on a live catwalk stage in front of the judges including hairdressing legend Alan Edwards.
When the results were announced we all waited hoping and praying and were so excited and exhilarated when Lizzie was pronounced the winner of her category, knowing that it meant that for the first time in years we would be going to the grand finals in London on the 2nd June. Lizzie has worked for us for over 6 years now and has steadily and consistently worked her way up from a technician to an artistic leader and a very successful and popular stylist. Lizzie is conscientious and consistent in her standards of work and is always a pleasure to work with and we are so very proud that she is now being recognised and rewarded for her talents by the industry that she is so passionate about. We wish you Lizzie, Jen and your model Steve all the luck in the world for the London finals on the 2nd June and we will be there thinking of and supporting you all, best wishes guys.
