FAME at last
The Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence (F.A.M.E.) Team are selected annually to promote a new generation of bright young hairdressers Nominated exclusively by Fellowship members the potential team members undergo a rigorous selection process that includes photographic work, a test of the candidates ability to recreate their photograph under time pressure, a detailed CV, an in-depth interview, a long hair assessment and a 2 minute live demonstration of their hairdressing skills onstage at Salon. Andrew Clark, founder of the F.A.M.E. Team program says: "We're keen to stress that being part of the F.A.M.E. Team does not necessarily make young hairdressers "famous"! It's not an instant path to glory. However, it is a spectacular launch pad for young stylists, many of whom have gone on to become the key players in the industry over the past fifteen plus years.'' Top hairdressers who started their careers in the F.A.M.E Team include Umberto Giannini, Errol Douglas, Antoinette Beenders, Lisa Shepherd, Carolyn Newman, Paul Merritt, Zoƫ Irwin. And alongside these infamous industry legends could be our very own Ryan Parkinson from the Old Hall salon. Ryan has been anonymously nominated by an existing fellowship member to compete for a coveted place on the team. We were all thrilled to hear that Ryan was successful in the first round of the selection process with his wonderful hair designs and photographic work. But now the real pressure is on to get through the next rigorous round of the in-depth interview and assessment. Wishing you the best of luck Ryan, we know you can do it and we are all extremely proud of you and honoured that we have someone so FAMED in our salon.
