YVETTE CLARKE SCOOPS THE BRIDAL CREATION AWARD
Great Lengths, the leader in human hair extensions, held its black-tie awards ceremony in at the Royal Armouries, New Dock Hall, in Leeds.
After narrowing hundreds of stylists down to the shortlist of nominees, there could only be 10 winners.
It was a special night for Yvette Clarke of Sally Montague Hair Group, Derbyshire who was recognized for her outstanding work and contribution as a Great Lengths stylist.
Yvette was thrilled to be awarded the Bridal Creation trophy, a competitive category where salons are rewarded for outstanding excellence, in demonstrating exceptional creativity with their Bridal creation entries.
‘With my final image I wanted to create a classic and timeless bridal style using fresh flowers to
accessorise. Previously I had been a finalist in the top five of the Great Lengths Awards to to win the UK title just feels amazing.’ Yvette Clarke, Great Lengths Extensionist and Master Stylist at the Belper and Duffield salons.
BBC Radio Leeds presenter, Larry Budd hosted the event, which featured VIP guests of the night: Monica Glass of the Little Princess Trust and Great Lengths Managing Director, Carol Leo.
The night, which consisted of champagne, and dancing, also raised £1,000 for Great Lengths’ designated charity, The Little Princess Trust, which will go towards making human hair wigs for children suffering from hair loss.
Winners were carefully selected prior to the event, by a handpicked panel of expert judges including: Matthew Curtis, Lead Stylist for Britain’s Next Top Model and Great Lengths Extensionist; Gabriella Pisani, Founder of the Pretty Ugly Blog and former Beauty Writer for Hello Magazine, alongside Gemma Ward, Editor of The Salon Magazine.
Carol Leo, Managing Director of Great Lengths, said: “I am absolutely thrilled with how the evening went, the night was filled with some extremely proud faces and as a team we couldn’t be happier for our winners and finalists. At Great Lengths we pride ourselves on our bespoke service and the quality of our hair and products, so this was a special night for us all to celebrate the hard work of our salons and stylists. We are already looking forward to our 2017 awards, which will take place in Ireland.”
