DEVELOPMENT OFF THE HORSE AND JOCKEY YARD…

We have now submitted plans to Derbyshire Dales District Council to build a luxury salon and spa on the land off the Horse and Jockey yard in Ashbourne town centre.

The development has been designed by Sally’s brother, architect Matthew Montague, and will encompass the land off the Horse and Jockey yard which has been disused for a number of years. The salon and spa will create at least fourteen job opportunities, in addition to the existing employees of Sally Montague Hair Group.

We launched in Ashbourne on St John Street in November 2009, since then the Ashbourne premises have grown to cover three floors and two separate buildings, showing the need for a purpose built property to house the ever expanding business.

The proposed development will be set over two floors located around a courtyard, effectively linking the Horse and Jockey yard through to The Greenman development. Bringing back into use one of the last derelict areas in Ashbourne town centre, the project will create not only a new salon and spa but will grow the independent lifestyle activities and retail opportunities that Ashbourne has to offer.
